De La Soul, Tinariwen and Bellowhead are among the first acts announced for this year’s WOMAD.
Also confirmed today for the festival’s ninth gathering in Charlton Park are 47SOUL, Acholi Machon, Aurelio, Banda Magda, Dona Onete, ESKA, Ester Rada, Kim Churchill, L’Hijâz’Car, Molotov Jukebox, Orange Blossom, Orchestre Tout Puissant Marcel Duchamp, Osaka Monaurail, Sagapool, Sona Jobarteh,
Sona Jobarteh and Swindle.
For those arriving early, Thursday offers some exclusive treats in the form of Shantel & Bucovina Club Orkestar, The Kala Chethena Kathakali Company and Tomorrow’s Warriors.
