DJ Vadim

The London promoters, Soundcrash, are curating their very own festival – The Soundcrash Funk & Soul Weekender. This is a brand new event, bringing together a combination of some of the most forward thinking minds in the Funk & Soul game.

Featuring on the bill is the hugely popular Russian producer and selector DJ Vadim, who brings his bugged out, dubbed out Funk, Soul, Reggae, Hip Hop and Electronic good vibes to this party.

We caught up with him to find out all about the tracks he’s into right now, and what fans can expect from his set. He told us…

“It’s a bit hard to say exactly what I will play, cause it’s based on the vibe at the time. So if the crowd is going Funky, Reggae or Latin – I’m there. Any sounds. Also if the party needs lifting, or if it needs to let off steam or chill out – I’m ready for all moods and terrains.”

So here’s his selection of ten tracks that give us a taste of what we might expect from this DJ’s bag…

Ras Demo – Sekkle Cease

Quite simply one of the best new Reggae records out right now.

YT and Little John – Work to Do

Killer combination over a mungo Hifi beat. This tune can do no wrong.

Poirier – Jump (Sam Binga Remix)

There’s nothing better to get a party jumping.

Kiko Bun – This Town

Wicked voice, wicked artist, leading the UK’s new school Reggae scene.

Inja – Talk About

When it comes to double time fast flows Inja is the man. This track is simply ferocious.

Diemantle – My Thing

Quite simply one hell of a club banger.

Terri Walker – Caught Up

I love the song, the message and the lyrics so much.

Slum Village – Push It Along

Great comeback track lifted from a wicked album.

And what a track listing. Something there for all the rude boys and skankers.

You can catch the talented DJ Vadim, doing his thing at the Soundcrash Funk and Soul weekender, rubbing shoulders with the likes of Roy Ayers, Quantic, Grandmaster Flash and Craig Charles.

The party takes place at Pontins Camber Sands in East Sussex running from Friday 13th May until Sunday 15th may 2016.
