The acclaimed Adriatic Sea bash Soundwave Croatia returns for its 9th consecutive year of party time excitement next summer. And now they’ve released the first line up announcement, turning up the heat of anticipation on the coming summer with Roy Ayers, Gilles Peterson, Go Go Penguin, Yussef Kamaal, Egyptian Lover, Josey Rebelle, Horse Meat Disco, MNDSGN and Donna Leake with many more to be revealed.
Weaving its way through a sonic landscape capped by sun-kissed days and sublime nights, the festival encompasses Broken Beat, Reggae, Afro, House, Disco and Acid Jazz through to Hip Hop, Soul, Funk, Drum N Bass, with a wide open, inclusive and eclectic musical attitude to its guest.
Alongside this the festival will once again be bringing together some of the top names in street art and illustration from across Europe. They’ll be imparting their own unique visual style and imagery on proceedings with a delve into the communal artistic consciousness. Accompanying this will be the return of the open air cinema experience also returns with its showcase of independent and Croatian film.
Soundwave takes place at the now legendary idyllic and somewhat established venue of the Garden Resort in Tisno. This enclave of paradise sits nestled in the Dalmatian coastline, creating a perfect blend of holiday and festival where the boundaries blur into a mesmerising odyssey.
Dates for the party are from Thursday 27th July through to Monday 31st July 2016.
