Standon Calling has announced its third and final headliner for Sunday night as Public Enemy.

Members Chuck D, Flavor Flav, Khari Wynn, DJ Lord and Professor Griff have seen over 20 years in the music business and are sure to shake up the closing night as they bring their Long Island beats to Hertfordshire. They will be joining the previously confirmed Maximo Park and Frank Turner and The Sleeping Souls as headliners.

Joining Public Enemy in supplying hip-hop to Standon’s Callers is another member of the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame, Grandmaster Flash.

All the way from New Zealand is a live drum and bass act who are no strangers to the festival scene, Shapeshifters. Twin sisters `, who recently achieved a place on BBC’s Sound of 2014 poll, have also been added to the bill.

East India Youth aka William Doyle had his solo debut this year with his album ‘Total Strife Forever’ and will be bringing his unique combo of classical, Krautrock and ambient electronic sounds to this year’s festival.

An alternative twist on classic hip-hop is on offer courtesy of Young Fathers alongside alternative-pop band Eliza & The Bear, whose single ‘It Gets Cold’ was recently labelled Hottest Record in the World by Radio 1 DJ Zane Lowe.

Other artists completing the second line up announcement include alt-pop duo Thumpers; Domino records The Bohicas and Norwegian indie band Team Me.

The festival takes place between 1-3 August at Standon Lordship in Hertfordshire. Tickets for Standon Calling are currently still available at the ‘tier one’ price of £119pp.  To Secure your tickets and view the full line up so far, view our Standon Calling Guide.
