The first line up announcement has been released for Liverpool Sound City’s 10th anniversary festival. For the first time in its colourful history the event will stretch across 4 days of music, mirth and entertainment. Kicking off proceedings on the 25th of May, first up on the billing will be modern English music innovators Art of Noise, The Human League and A Certain Ratio.
John Cale takes the stage on Friday with the only European performance of New York legends The Velvet Underground & Nico, making this a must attend event for fans of the acts.
Saturday sees Metronomy topping the bill with support from The Kills, Slaves, Peaches, Hunna, Carl Barat & The Jackals, Pumarosa, Fickle Friends and many more top names.
And putting the cherry on Sunday night’s festival cake will be The Kooks, making a welcome return after closing the festival in 2014. Supporting them on this mission to bring things to a glorious crescendo will be White Lies, Local Natives. !!! (Chk Chk Chk), Milburn, She Drew The Gun, Cabbage, The Sherlocks, The Vryll Society and an eclectic bunch of acts.
