The Lancastrian festival has announced alt rock band Happy Mondays as headliners for Sunday’s closing night with other headline performances across the weekend from The Orb and Boney M. For the full line-up to date head over here.

Other leading performances are lined up from French electro composer Vitalic and Italian electro house punk master, The Bloody Beetroots, for whom the festival will be one of many on his busy worldwide tour.

Festival co-founder Nick Chambers says of the line up so far: “It’s such an exciting bill it’s hard to know where to start! Festival regulars like the Dub PistolsMr. Scruff and The Utah Saints will be rubbing shoulders with German techno legend Timo Maas, Dub Phizix & Strategy and hip hop mixologist DJ Format will be mashing-up the Trailer Trash stage, rockers Wolf Alive will be wigging out at the Maison D’etre. Koan Sound in The Fortress is going to go off! […] It’s going to be amazing!”

Klangkarussell, Greg Wilson, Bipolar Sunshine and Riva Starr have also been announced as well a performance not to be missed from Goldie Looking Chain.

The festival boasts not only a great location and electic line up but also a completely unique set up of the festival itself. This year there will be 15 completely original, craftsman built stages including the Main Stage, The Fortress, The Woods, Trailer Trash Big Top, Snug and the Working Men’s Club.

Beat-Herder prides itself on offering festival goers the taste of real, authentic festival life; having no involvement with corporate organisations and taking you back to the raw festival vibes where the dancing, the music, and good company were all that you needed.

The festival will be returning for its ninth run in the Ribble Valley of Pendle Hill between 18-20 July. Many more live acts, DJs and stages are to be announced yet but rest assured they’re set to take this year’s party to the next level.

Tickets are on sale currently for £112pp.
