It looks like preparations for one of the world’s biggest snowsports and sounds events is picking up once again. Snowboxx have announced that the legendary Basement Jaxx will be headlining the festival alongside fresh mixstress Hannah Wants and Hospital Records’ Wilkinson.
This big slice of talent will be following in the footsteps of a number of the top names including the likes of Mike Skinner and Sigma, with the 2016 agenda glittering with quality acts gracing the stage such as Blonde, Stormzy Becky Hill and Grandmaster Flash.
Rob Tominey, Co-Founder of Mainstage Travel says: “Snowboxx is making a big come-back in 2017, packing a bigger punch than we’ve ever seen before. We’re working with some of the biggest names in the electronic, drum & bass, pop and dance industries, and we’re delighted to have signed the likes of Basement Jaxx, Wilkinson and Hannah Wants.
“Falling outside of the usual festival season, we aim to offer music-lovers and party-goers a winter experience, as well as giving them the opportunity to enjoy ski packages and luxurious ski chalets.”
With the event set to take place from the 18th -25th March, these three superstars promise to add a tinge of electric neon showmanship to the crushing party nights. During the daytime revelers will be able to enjoy some 650km of piste action on the ski slopes at the site in Avoriaz in France, which caters for every level of skill – from beginner to pro.
Snowboxx is now moving into its fifth year, firmly establishing its place in the winter festival calendar as one of the primo events of the year. Featuring a line up card that’s already marked with names such as High Contrast, TQD and Bicep alongside residents Charlie Tee and Jack Swift, this edition promises to deliver the same notch of big sound excitement as party people have come to expect.
The party has doubled its capacity for this year’s highjinks which will see a range of the world’s most scorching DJ talent line up for igloo parties and secret sets, with snowball parties, bottomless brunches and extreme snowballs fights set agains the glorious backdrop of the Morzine Valleys in the Alps.
