Shakedown has announced the first wave of artists for this year’s festival, set to take place in a brand new location.

Included in the line up is a Main Stage headliner bringing an all-out sensory assault as Basement Jaxx take to the stage with classics such as ‘Where’s Your Head At’ and ‘Romeo’.

Joining the Brixton duo on the Main Stage is Groove Armada lined up to perform a DJ set full of  iconic hits such as ‘I See You Baby’.

As well as some old school favourites, big chart duo right now Gorgon City will also be hitting up Brighton this summer. Jaguar Skills has also been announced to return this year bringing his heady genre mash-ups to Brighton alongside Kidnap Kid and DJ EZ.

So, that’s the Sain Stage so far. The Audio presents Area 10 stage is also filling up nicely with headliner confirmed as MK (Marc Kinchen). Having previously worked with the likes of Paloma Faith, Lana Del Rey and Rudimental and recently topping the charts with his ‘Look Right Through’ remix, he’s arguably the king of house right now.

House royalty rings throughout the rest of the Audio stage line up as co-founder of Hot Creations and member of Hot Natured, Lee Foss has been added to the bill. Huxley will be joining him alongside Eat, Sleep, Rave, Repeat producer Riva Starr.

Completing the stage is BlondeTreatment’s own Tom Frisco and James Moss, and two of Brighton’s best loved DJs – Audio residents Charles Green and Neal Schtumm.

The infamous Supercharged Arena returns once again in 2014 with an awesome line-up of bass-driven DJs, set to be announced very soon as well as the second Main Stage headliner.

For its fourth year, Shakedown will be held at Brighton’s Waterhall on 19 July. The festival is a day-long event but after parties are set to be arranged very soon.

Shakedown promoter, Matt Priest says: “the Shakedown circus comes to Waterhall with a huge electronic line-up that cements us at the forefront of Brighton’s world famous club scene. We can’t wait!”
