About Farmfestival
There’s a lovely story behind Farmfest. This is one of those festivals that started life as a bunch of friends looking to have good times and frolics set to music in the gorgeous English Somerset countryside. As their reputation and attendance slowly grew from the first event where some 400 people gathered, they’ve turned this collective into a professional festival where they donate a large percentage of their takings to local charities.
This is a festival where everyone is welcome from the old to the young – the only requirement, which is not one unique to Farmfest, is that everyone should know how to have a good time. Lacking the financial clout of the larger events this is a place where you can expect to receive a musical education in lesser known jewels from audio spectrum. Don’t for a moment think that this detracts from the sonic experience however.
Taking on a distinctly vintage slash boutique feeling, this is one party where you’ll lose no marks for appearing in tweed breeches. Expect more refined entertainments than you’ll find at many mainstream UK events, including old school wrestling, tea parties, miniature golf course and more organic grub that you could possibly wolf down in a weekend.
Just make sure you trim and wax your beard before you go.
