Beacons Festival has revealed the first acts for 2014.

Headlining the festival will be disco-funk duo Darkside,  London trio Daughter and the electronica tunes of Jon Hopkins. Other headliners announced are The Fall who will be making a rare festival appearance, Hookworms, Dixon and Nightmares On Wax.

Other acts announced in the first wave include Melt Yourself Down, TOY, Daniel Avery, King Creosote, Sweet Baboo, Eagulls, Max Graef, Money, Girl Band, Pins and Galaxians.

The Thursday night welcome party entertainment has been extended to include a silent disco with guest DJ’s to be announced. Art and Culture will again be an integral part of the festival and new areas Hunters FieldThe Space Between, Dawsons Art Hashhouse and a new outdoor stage, The Argyle will be providing entertainment ranging from spoken word through to yoga, film and documentary Q&As.

The family area The Diddy Rascals is getting a revamp and will be doubled in size to cater for the next generation of festie-folk, and for Ale lovers The Whitelocks Ale tent will be featuring an expanded Ale Festival.

Beacons Festival takes place at the Funkirk Estate, Skipton in the Yorkshire Dales from Thursday 7th to Sunday 10th August 2014. Tickets are priced from £99.50 for full weekend passes. To see confirmed bands so far and to buy tickets, click here.
